Suzuki also involved in Dieselgate

In Germany, offices of the Japanese car manufacturer were already searched in April this year. The reason was the suspicion of involvement in the Dieselgate scandal. It is alleged that more than 22,00 of the company's diesel vehicles were sold with illegal defeat devices.

Diesel engines of the company Stellantis (formerly: Fiat Chrysler) are said to have been installed in these vehicles and to have implemented these illegal defeat devices. Therefore, business rooms of the companies in Germany and Italy were also searched. The focus is on three diesel engines (1.3, 1.9 and 2.0 litre engines) of the company Stellantis, which were installed in the Suzuki models SX4 S-Cross, Swift and Vitara.

Due to the defeat devices contained in the vehicles, the exhaust gas purification system is said to have been partially or even completely switched off during driving and thus many more quantities of nitrogen oxides were released than legally permitted. The buyers were not informed about this. The buyers of such vehicles are now threatened with decommissioning orders or the implementation of expensive technical retrofits so that they can continue to use the vehicles.

In any case, it is already certain that buyers will suffer considerable damage, disadvantages and inconvenience. If you own a vehicle affected by the scandal, you are welcome to contact us at any time. The initial consultation as well as the use of our mask to calculate your claim are free of charge.
